EVENTS + IVBC GROUP RIDES
IVBC has a ride program to meet the changing needs of cyclists in the Marshalltown area. As more citizens in our community are riding a bicycle, the club feels a need to offer a more diverse ride program. The club will offer rides for Class I and Class II riders. Class I rides will be for individuals who prefer to ride at 15+ mph and a distance of 50 miles or more. Class II rides will be for individuals who prefer to ride at slower and a distance of up to 30 miles. Class I and II rides will occur on Saturday
mornings, (starting times have yet to be determined) beginning at the Y Cultural Center (old YMCA) and will have a designated ride leader. The ride leaders will determine a group consensus as to the distance and direction of the ride--mainly determined by the weather pattern for the day. As we move towards summer, the starting times will move to an earlier time. The opposite would be true as we move into the fall riding season. The class you are in will be determined only by yourself depending on how far and how fast you want to ride on any given day.
